Randburg Shotokan Karate Academy Awards 2019
The Male Senior Student of the Year award went to Priyal Venkadu who also received the Overall Champion of the Year award.
Randburg Shotokan Karate Academy (RSKA) held a successful awards ceremony on Thursday 5 December at the Leap Nursery School Hall in Honeydew Ridge.
All RSKA students received awards and students who excelled received their special awards.

The Male Senior Student of the Year award went to Priyal Venkadu who also received the Overall Champion of the Year award.
Female Senior Student of the Year was awarded to the hard-working Saranya Bauchoo and Junior Students, Aranya Dayaram and Sivesh Naicker were awarded the Junior Students of the Year award respectively.
Jordan Samuels and Priyal Venkadu received awards for being selected to participate in the International Shotokan Karate Federation – South Africa National World Cup Team.
The team will be competing in the 3rd Shoto Cup in the United Kingdom in 2020, and Jordan was also awarded the Kumite award.

This prestigious event takes place every four years where over 50 countries participate.
The international experience for these young men will give them exposure to explore their karate and compete against the best in the world.
Sensei Prishen Pillay said, “I am proud of the achievements of all the karateka and they all have excelled individually”.
