Twizza Super School Series National Final to be held in Ruimsig

The competition is heating up in the Girls’ Team Category of the Twizza Super School Series National Final that will take place at the Ruimsig Athletics Stadium on Saturday, February 19.
Top teams to look out for will include Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool, Hoërskool Menlopark, Prestige College, Helpmekaar Kollege, La Rochelle Girls High School, Paarl Girls High and Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof to mention just a few.
Launched in 2019, the Twizza Super School Series has very quickly become a highlight on the schools athletics calendar and has one clear goal in mind – to crown SA’s best athletics school.
“The Twizza Super School Series is one of the athletics meetings that our school kids are most excited to compete at.
“I am looking forward to competing against all the other schools, and my goal is to win the 400m hurdles.
“Our team’s goal is not only to win, but also to make new friends from other schools. We will be there to compete for the good of our school and we will do so while supporting the rest of our team,” said Anje Nel, 18, from Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool.
Menlopark’s Lesedi Khunou, 18, believes that the Twizza Super School Series holds athletes to a high standard, both physically and morally, as they compete for the ultimate prize of being named SA’s best athletics school.
For Keisha Mangava, 17, from Prestige College it’s an honour to be associated with the Twizza Super School Series.
Keisha told the Northsider that her goal is to improve on her personal best in her event, while motivating her team members to become the best girls team.
According to Zoe Tobias, 17, from Paarl Girls High School, the Twizza Super School Series is an amazing event that allows athletes to grow and experience athletics on a greater level.
“Not only will I support my school, but I will also support my friends from other schools,” said Tobias.
According to the event organisers, they will adhere to government regulations regarding Covid-19 at all times.
