Ringball club champs held in Mindalore

The women's team from Glen Marais in Ekurhuleni North were crowned as the champions while the men's winners were Tigers from Mpumalanga.

Saturday, June 11 saw the Ringball Club Championships get underway at the Warrior Ringball Club courts.

District participants included Silverton, Brits, Noordheuwel, Glen Marais, NWU, Eike, Rosa Park, Bronkies, Olympia, Warrior, Ukhozi and Tigers.

The women’s team from Glen Marais in Ekurhuleni North were crowned as the champions while the men’s winners were Tigers from Mpumalanga.

All clubs came out of the Ringball Club Champs excited with some teams confirming that they would be participating in the South African National Ringball Tournament from July 4 to 9 in Pretoria.

Ringball is a non-contact sport played by both men and women in separate leagues; it is similar to the game of netball and was also previously known as korfball.
