Charity run to be held for Pandabeertjie Day Care Centre
Cornelius has completed 17 Comrades marathons and did six 24 hour circuits winning four of them.
EXP Medical Centres and Sameul Cornelius will be doing a charity nine-hour circuit run at Roodepoort Athletics Club for Pandabeertjie Day Care Centre on Saturday, October 29.
According to Corneluis, the day care is under great pressure as they are providing basic necessities out of their own pocket and most of the children are hungry and do not eat for the whole day, or will only have a meal to eat once a day.
EXP Medical and Dental Centre in Constantia has 11 doctors of which three are female doctors as well as a Dis-Chem Pharmacy, dental department and optometrist, etc.
Cornelius who is an employee of EXP Medical and Dental wants to thank all the doctors and his employers for the opportunity to run in EXP Medical clothing.
He is also grateful to the Roodepoort Athletics Club for sponsoring the venue and allowing him to run in their clothing.
Cornelius has completed 17 Comrades marathons and did six 24 hour circuits, winning four of them. He has won seven 12 hour circuits and four 18 hour circuits as well as ran two charity runs in 2021.
“I just want to thank my wife who is the organiser of the event, she is also going to help me during the day and most importantly Jesus Christ that gave me the talent to run,” he said.
The charity run will start at 8:00 and finish at 17:00 from the Ampie Barnard Tennis Courts in Roodepoort, Horison.
