Good year for Lantern rugby at the LSEN Craven Week

Not just one, but two people to honour for their achievements at the Golden Lions LSEN.

Teachers and learners at Lantern School are impressed with their rugby achievements.

During the June school holidays, Thabang Phatsoane represented his school at the Golden Lions Learners with Special Educational Needs (LSEN) Craven Week.

Jaco Mitton, a teacher and coach, was chosen as the logistics manager for the Golden Lions LSEN team. He further received an accolade for 10 years of service at the LSEN Craven Week, after being part of the structure for 12 years.

He continued during the Craven Week the Golden Lions won the tournament by winning all three of the provincial games.

“The Golden Lions LSEN was one of the teams out of two that were unbeaten during the Craven Week and they also received the trophy for the team of the week for co-operation, good behaviour, discipline, and team spirit,” concluded Jaco.
