Drifters host 7th Annual Players Awards
The Club’s U/17s had an outstanding season, winning the league on the final day when they beat rivals Smart Boys FC 3–0 to seal the championship title.

Zandspruit — Golden Drifters Football Club held their 7th Annual Players Awards on 8 December at Silverstar.
The main reason for hosting these awards every year is to appreciate the efforts and the hard work that the youngsters have put in.
Club owner, Proud Shoko said, “These awards are significant and a very important part of our club's culture. For the first time we hosted them at a high-profile place, which is Silverstar.”
The biggest winner on the night was the young midfield maestro, Kananelo Phala who bagged the U/17 Best Midfielder, U/17 Best Player and Golden Drifters Academy Player of the Season awards.
Kananelo has also earned himself a contract with the club's first team, which is playing in the SAFA West Rand Regional Men's League.
