Wings sends out a call for winter-warmers

Help the Wings of Inspiration Care Centre keep the men, women, and children in their care centres warm this winter.

The Wings of Inspiration Care Centre is a Helderkruin-based NPO sharing their charitable spirit with the entire West Rand – from Roodepoort to Randfontein.

Through their sober house, women and children’s shelter, daycare centre, old age home, children’s play school (in Mpumalanga) and their work with Dorah’s Ark Orphanage, this organisation plays an essential role in helping less-privileged community members.

As the winter season approaches at a rapid pace, the Wings team is asking any willing community members or businesses to assist them with winter donations for their care centres.

They are in urgent need of the following items:
• Household items such as linen, towels, curtains, and anything else you can spare
• Clothes for all ages (from babies to fully grown adults of both genders)
• Warm blankets
• Vegetables to make warm, healthy soups

“Please, if you have any spare items that you are not using, please think of us,” pleaded co-director, Kirsten Richardson. If anyone can find it in their hearts to donate, the organisation is more than willing to collect, otherwise, donations can be dropped off at their head office, located at 35 Karee Street, Helderkruin. For more information on Wings of Inspiration or how you can help, contact one of the directors: Kirsten Richardson on 081 018 8378 or Anthea Da Costa 071 829 1293.
