Cupcakes of Hope hosted their 10th annual fundraiser at Clearwater Mall on Saturday, October 1. The Cupcake Angels were all dressed in their Pink Cupcakes of Hope attire and were manning a big table filled with colourful and delicious cupcakes made by community members.
Melissa Quinn, who was in charge of the Clearwater fundraiser, explained. “We ask bakers, moms and companies to donate any number of cupcakes for the day and then we sell them for a R10 donation.”
This initiative helps to raise funds for children fighting cancer. Cupcakes for Kids with Cancer’s goal is to raise awareness and funds for children in need of medical assistance by using their passion for baking cupcakes. Cupcakes of HOPE is able to help more than 240 children with cancer because of the community’s generosity every month.
