IIE MSA celebrate Arbor Day by planting six fever trees

IIE MSA staff and students added some greenery to their campus, September 21.

Usually celebrated in the first week of September by planting indigenous trees as a symbolic gesture of sustainable environmental management, the environmentalists planted six fever trees.

Andre Lubbe, IIE MSA’s Campus Head, said while planting one of the trees, “When we use the tree respectfully and economically, we have one of the greatest resources on earth. I am myself and what is around me, and if I do not save it, it shall not save me. He who plants a tree plants hope. The trees and all nature are witnesses of your thoughts and deeds. Arbor Day is not like other holidays. Each of those reposes on the past, while Arbor Day proposes the future.”
