Rosenberg is new Ort CEO

HOUGHTON - Ariellah Rosenberg, who has worked at ORT SA for the past 10 years, is the new the non-governmental organisation, which promotes education.

She said, “I have worked at ORT and appreciated the importance of education for the upliftment of the people of South Africa […]. According to a World Bank report, the economic growth of a country is affected positively by its quality of education. It is for this reason that ORT SA, through its divisions of Educator Empowerment, Jewish Entrepreneurial Training, Vocational and Enterprise Development and the IT Academy, together with ORT SA CAPE, play a very important role in South Africa.”

She added, “My vision for ORT SA is that it expands its impact and scales up its work, both at a provincial and national level.”

Rosenberg has been involved in education for the past 20 years. Before her appointment as CEO, she headed the Educator Empowerment Division of ORT SA. She is a Google Certified Teacher and was the only delegate from South Africa who attended the Google Teacher Academy in the UK in July 2010.

She is also an executive member of the South African Board of Jewish Education.
