Torah Academy vows to keep their 100 percent record
The principals and staff of Torah Academy are ‘ecstatic’ at the 2013 National Senior Certificate results in the Gauteng Education Department examinations.
The school maintained its unbroken record of a 100 percent pass rate. This year the pupils achieved an average of 3.3 distinctions per candidate. Rabbi Dovid Hazdan, dean of Torah Academy said 87 percent of students attained distinctions.
“In 75 percent of all papers written, the pupils attained a result of a B or higher,” he said.
And he said in almost 50 percent of all papers written, the matriculants attained a distinction.
“There are some results which were borderline 79 percent and will be turned into additional distinctions when application is made for a re-mark. We are once again delighted at our exceptional results and thank our principals, Rabbi Motti Hadar, of the Boys’ High School, and Rebecca Sarchi, of the Girls’ High School,” Hazdan added.
