ORANGE GROVE - The Corruption Busters show crew members were over the moon when the news broke out that ,ChaiFM station management had put their show forward for nomination in the prestigious MTN Radio Awards in five categories.
The crew of the show Corruption Busters were over the moon when news broke that ,ChaiFM station management had entered their show for nomination in the prestigious awards in five categories.
The programme exposes fraud and corruption throughout South and southern Africa, and is anchored by Chad Thomas, a veteran of law enforcement for 22 years. His co-presenter is Glenda Paul, a former police officer and fraud expert. According to Thomas the show is fast paced and interviews high profile crime fighters, investigative journalists and politicians.
“Guests have included serial killer expert Piet Byleveld, veteran investigative journalists such as Rob Rose, Jacques Pauw and Julian Rademeyer… Politicians such as the DA’s Dianne Kohler-Barnard, Manny de Freitas, Mike Moriarty; the FF+ advocate Anton Alberts; the UDM’s General Holimisa and other guests such as Paul O’Sullivan, retired judge Willem Heath, investigations experts Sonja Parsons and Bart Henderson, well-known investigative scientist Dr David Klatzow and many others,” he said.
The station’s CEO Kathy Kaler said they chose the show because it was excellent. “I am positive that the show can win, otherwise we wouldn’t enter it. It’s innovative and keeps the community informed about crime. The show is very up to date, it’s like breaking news,” she said.
Corruption Busters broadcasts live in Johannesburg on ChaiFM 101.9FM, on Mondays between 12pm and 1pm. Kaler said it streams worldwide on chaifm.com and is available as an app on cellphones.
