School postpones fun day due to weather

Craighall Primary’s Fun Day was postponed to 21 March, due to the heavy rainfall that’s plagued Joburg over the past two weeks.

The event was initially to be held on 7 March.

Localised flooding was anticipated as heavy rainfall continued relentlessly in the city.

According to the South African Weather Services, it was predicted that partial clearing and drying of the systems could only be expected to begin on 14 March in the west of the country.

However, family, friends and community members are encouraged not to let the weather put a damper on the occasion and attend the fun day for a day full of excitement.

The event has been a feature of the school’s fundraising landscape for many years.

Children are entertained through games and competitions, while parents can relax under the canopied area with friends.

Families in the area are also invited to join in the fun.

There is an entrance fee of R10 and children under six enter free.

There will be lots of fun including jumping castles, games, face painting, raffles, prizes and exciting rides.

Don’t miss out on an exciting day out for the family.
