According to police, the incident took place at the intersection of Regent and Raymond streets. Yeoville police spokesperson, Constable Thabo Malatji said the police received information from the public about three men who were acting suspiciously and entered the premises of a local business.

Malatji said, “Police went to the address and upon arrival they searched the three men and found two firearms. We found two 7.65 9mm pistols with serial numbers filed off in possession of the two men and found rounds of ammunition on one of the men.” Malatji said the suspects failed to produce a licence to possess firearms.
