Norwood police had opened an inquest docket following the discovery of a man’s body at the dam of Athol Grey Park in Melsrose.

Norwood police have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of a man’s body at the dam in Athol Grey Park in Melrose.

The body was noticed by a passerby who alerted the police.

Norwood police spokesperson Constable Nonzwakazi Tsoanyane said the man whose age was estimated to between 26 and 30 was last seen two days before his body was discovered. The body was taken to a government mortuary.

She said his family which live in Betrams was informed.
