Man jumps to his death as crowd chants ‘jump’
JOBURG - Joburg residents egged on a man to jump from the fifth floor of a building in the CBD
According to EWN, late on the afternoon of 4 December, a man exited from a fifth floor window of a building in Joburg CBD holding a bible and seemingly wanted to jump.
The man allegedly read a scripture from the bible before a man from inside the building tried to grab him.The man was unsuccessful in his attempt, after which the crowd on the ground began to chant “jump”.
The man on the ledge then plunged to his death.
He was declared dead on the scene by paramedics. Joburg Emergency Services were not immediately available for comment.
