Cops arrest one of their most wanted criminals in Hillbrow
HILLBROW - Crime intelligence conduct operation to apprehend most-wanted criminal
Police from the Hillbrow Crime Intelligence Cluster conducted an operation in Yeoville on 27 January on the corner of Hopkin and Cavendish streets at 10pm and were able to apprehend one of their most-wanted suspects.
The suspect has been high up on the list for police for a few months as he is connected with various crimes around the City of Johannesburg.
Constable Thabo Malatji said, “I am very happy about this arrest. The streets in Johannesburg are now a lot safer.”
Charges vary from theft, armed robbery, assault and possession of stolen property. Currently the suspect, who is 27 years old, is connected to 15 dockets around Gauteng. He is expected to appear at the Hillbrow and Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Courts soon.
