Northview High and Yeoville Boys’ Primary participate in relay race

HIGHLANDS NORTH - Northview High School and Yeoville Boys' Primary School participated in a relay race.

Marthie Brits, head of department of Life Orientation at Northview High School said, “70 pupils and four teachers from Northview High, and 19 pupils and seven teachers from Yeoville Boys’ Primary participated in the relay race.”

According to Brits, timing was performed electronically as the pupils ran with microchips that calculated their times.

“The pupils sprinted all the way. The results were displayed on a huge screen for the duration of the race. This encouraged the pupils to go full-out,” added Brits.

“Boston City Campus in Orange Grove sponsored each participant with a laptop bag, T-shirt and stationery.”
