WATCH: Wits student protest continues
JOBURG - A small group of Witwatersrand University students have continued with their protest against the proposed increase of fees by the institution.
This follows a major protest by the students on 14 October where they closed down all entrances, exits and stopped vehicles from coming in and out of the premises.

The students have closed down the main gate at the university and have continued with protest on Smit Street outside the university premises.
Wits issued a statement labeling the students protest about fees increase as unofficial and violates the university’s “protest policy and student rules”.
William Mokone residence committee vice-chairperson said they will not stand systematic financial exclusion of students and they will continue to fight until they are treated fairly.
