Careers morning in Rosebank
ROSEBANK – Students treated to some career advice at the Holy Family College
The Rotary Club of Rosebank joined hands with The Holy Family College to host a successful careers morning at the college.
The event was attended by 300 Grade 12 pupils of The Holy Family College in Parktown; St Martin de Porres School in Soweto; Sacred Heart College in Observatory; De La Salle College in Victory Park and Maryvale School in Orange Grove.
A rotary comprises an international network of like-minded volunteers, both men and women, who are united in the ideals of service to the community and glued together by friendship and fellowship.
At the event, pupils were able to obtain detailed career information on 20 professions ranging from medicine, law, banking, engineering, audiology, catering, pharmaceutical, theatre, travel, journalism and logistics.
Dr Neville Howes, president of the Rotary Club of Johannesburg, paid tribute to Mark Potterton, the headmaster of The Holy Family College; and Peter James Smith, a fellow Rotarian, for the tremendous work they did to arrange the function.
