Goliath achievement for Joburg comedian
JOHANNESBURG – Find out who is the new Loeries Creative Voice.
Having had his start in comedy at The Box comedy nights at POPArt Theatre in Maboneng, this former art director is making the world of comedy proud.
“As a good comedian, you have to die on stage to kill on stage,” comedian Donovan Goliath once said to City Buzz, but now after killing it on the comedy scene with the Goliath and Goliath collective, this particular Goliath has become the official Loeries Creative Voice.
For 15 minutes each Wednesday, Goliath will present a weekly segment on YFM’s drive time show, The Best Drive, starting in April from 15.33pm.
This collaboration with the Loeries, Africa’s and Middle East’s largest creative showcase will feature interviews with the most creative voices from the brand communications industry along with up-to-date creative news.
On his role as the Loeries Creative Voice, Goliath said, “I’m incredibly excited to be a part of this campaign. I feel it’s a very bold and necessary move that the Loeries have undertaken.”

“As we know, creativity and the arts in this country are not as respected as they should be, so this is definitely going to give me an opportunity to teach and inspire, and encourage industry leaders to do the same. This is really a cool platform for me to share my story and to make people understand how I use creativity to do what I do.”
He will talk about creativity and how, as a currency, it is being harnessed to provide solutions to all areas of our lives.
Bringing it back home, Goliath will also talk about how he used it to change his career and how to empower others.
The one quality that the Loeries and Goliath have in common is the passion for grooming and inspiring the youth and that is why the partnership makes perfect sense.
