Taxi crashes into two vehicles in Orange Grove

ORANGE GROVE - A taxi crashed into two vehicles and then collided into a wall in Orange Grove earlier this afternoon.

This afternoon just before 5pm EMER-G-MED paramedics responded to reports of a serious taxi crash on the corners of Goodman Terrace and 7th Street, in Orange Grove – north of Johannesburg.
On arrival paramedics found that a taxi had collided with two other vehicles, before colliding with a wall – allegedly after the taxi’s brakes failed.
Six people were injured, with two patients requiring Advanced Life Support care. Once the seriously injured patients were stabilised on-scene they were transported by EMER-G-MED’s Intensive Care ambulance, under the care of an Advanced Life Support paramedic.
The four other patients sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for further management.
Local authorities were on-scene to investigate the exact events leading up to the collision.
