Zinto restores dignity to the lives of the disabled

LOMBARDY EAST – Zinto puts smiles of hope on children's faces in honour of Mandela.

Marketing group, Zinto, put smiles on the faces of those living with disabilities during a visit to the Sithandiwe Disabled Care centre in commemoration of Mandela Day.

The company visited the centre in Lombardy East as a way to play their part in honouring the late statesman and raise awareness of the work done by the centre in taking care of the disabled.

Speaking about the visit was Michelle Combrinck, chief executive officer and founder of Zinto, who said, “Differently-abled people are not looking for sympathy, what they want is a community that understands them.”

Combrinck added that society needed to recognise the challenges faced by disabled people and offer them much-needed support and inclusion within their local community. Furthermore, the company highlighted the important role that South Africans have to play in ensuring the dignity of people with disabilities.

The fun-filled visit to Sithandiwe also included a performance from the Zinto team in the form of a flash mob, activities for children and live entertainment from the brand mascot, Ken the Dog.
