MDS Group raises R25k for Berea shelter
BEREA – MDS Group makes a special visit and cheque donation to needy shelter.
Kindness was the order of the day when Courier company, MDS Group, put smiles on children’s faces with a special visit to The People at Christ Church Christian Care Centre’s (5Cees) shelter.
Staff members of MDS Collivery and MDS VisaPak visited the Berea-based shelter and handed over a cheque for R25 000 to help the shelter continue with its work in caring for destitute children. The collection of funds was done in conjunction with The Rotary Club of Johannesburg New Dawn.
The visit also saw the group hand over donated goodies and spend time playing and interacting with the children.
The shelter is home to 64 children where they are provided with food, clothes and an education. Grateful staff members were on hand to receive the generous donation.
