Another taxi crash in Parktown

PARKTOWN - Taxi crash injures 15 passengers.

This morning Emer-G-Med dispatched multiple resources to reports of a serious taxi crash on Oxford and Federation Roads, in Parktown.

It’s believed that a taxi lost control, veered off the road and collided with a pole leaving a total of 15 passengers injured – one of them in a serious condition, entrapped within the wreckage.

Spokesperson for Emer-G-Med Max Cohen said, “The entrapped patient was treated by advanced life support paramedics while the City of Johannesburg Fire Department used the jaws of life to cut the vehicle, freeing the passenger.”

He added that the injured passengers were treated on the scene before being transported to various hospitals in the area.

Metro police were on the scene to investigate.
