‘Tis the season to be merry

PARKVIEW – A night of carols at Zoo Lake.

 

The Godfirst Church in Parktown will host Zoo Lake Carols by Candlelight on 7 December in celebration of Christmas and to collect gifts for residents at the Avril Elizabeth Home for the Handicapped.

According to the church’s Mandy Adriaanse, this will be the fourth year that the church, together with the community, will be hosting the event.

“This year we have musical guests Justin Serrao and Cameron Bruce as well as Audrey Mbuazi and a children’s choir,” said Adriaanse.

Residents of the Avril Elizabeth Home for the Handicapped will be the beneficiaries of the gifts that will be donated on 7 December.

Hundreds are expected to attend the event which will take place between 6pm and 8pm at Zoo Lake.

It will be free of charge and the church is urging all to bring a gift on the night to make this year’s Christmas a special one for those at the home.
