Norwood Police Station made a number of arrests from 21 February and 3 March.
The spokesperson for the station, Elliot Tshivhase said, “Norwood police officers arrested a total of 42 suspects for committing different crimes ranging from theft to assault.”
The arrests made are as follows:
- 1 suspect fraud
- 5 illegal immigrants arrested
- 1 suspect for common assault
- 2 suspects for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm
- 2 suspects for shoplifting
- 3 suspects with a warrant of arrest were taken into custody
- 1 suspect for trespassing
- 2 suspects for the possession of a stolen vehicle
- 1 suspect for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm
- 1 suspect for theft out of a motor vehicle
- 2 suspects for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle
- 21 suspects for driving under the influence.
