Rand Aid’s Elphin Lodge residents enjoy a lively braai

The residents kept warm with friendly conversation and a hot boerewors roll.

 

Rand Aid’s Elphin Lodge residents defied the ominous storm clouds and drizzle to follow their noses to the lodge’s lapa where a delicious braai was underway.

David Rasidumelo and Patrick Mashaba braai boerewors for residents of the lodge.

A spokesperson for the lodge. Cathy Grosvenor said, “The retirement village holds a boerewors braai on the lawns once a month, giving neighbours and friends a chance to catch up and enjoy an outdoor meal.”

Cathie Basterfield with June and Reg Branthwaite look forward to their boerie rolls.

The residents kept warm with friendly conversation and a hot boerewors roll while taking in the ambiance of a classic South African braai.
