From 9 May traffic on the M1 highway will be redirected

PARKTOWN – The Ettrick Road on-ramp will be open from 9 May and the Oxford Road off-ramp will be closed from 10 May.

 

Residents are urged to take note that from 9 May construction on the M1 between Oxford and Federation roads will begin on the northbound side of the highway. M1 Southbound traffic in the construction zone will be moved to the far left side of the carriageway and the Ettrick Road on-ramp will be reopened.

From 10 May northbound traffic in the M1 construction zone will be moved to the right-hand side carriageway and the Oxford Road off-ramp will be closed.

Two lanes in either direction will remain open to accommodate the flow of traffic. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving within the construction zone.
