UPDATE: Trial date for Hillbrow murder accused set for next year

JOBURG – The trial of Hillbrow murder accused Sabelo Ngubane has been postponed to 29 January in the South Gauteng High Court.

 

Hillbrow murder accused Sabelo Ngubane (29) appeared briefly in the High Court in Johannesburg on Friday, 1 September.

He stands accused of five counts of murder after a shooting incident in an apartment in Hillbrow in February this year in which three women and two minors were killed.

The case was postponed to 29 January next year. The court heard that all evidence in the case has been finalised. Ngubane has been remanded in custody at the Johannesburg Central Prison until his next appearance. The court heard that a state advocate will be assigned to represent him before the trial gets underway.
