#ThrowBackThursday: Most memorable scenes from our favourite soapies

We take a look at some of the memorable moments from our favourite TV shows.

Today we take you to the most memorable scenes from our favourite television shows.

These are scenes that stay in our memories for a long time.

Well, we get to see them one last time.

  • 7de Laan’s first gay kiss

Who could forget the moment our favourite Afrikaans soapie, 7de Laan, made history by showing two men engaged in a tongue war? The kiss between Divan and Logan caused a stir on the local social media scenes.

  • Karabo Moroka cheats

Cheating twice is allowed, but three times is going overboard. This was proven by Tau Mogale when he confronted his ex-wife, Karabo, in our favourite soapie, Generations. In the scene, Karabo confesses to Tau that she is in love with Zola and wanted to take him as a second husband. Tau lost his mind when Karabo revealed to him that she has slept with Zola three times. This iconic scene inspired the #TauMogaleChallenge on Twitter.

  • 50 Shades of Cherel

It is hard to point out one memorable scene from Cherel de Villiers in Isidingo. It seemed like wherever she passed, grass did not grow. Clearly the villain of the soapie, Cherel was a baddie of note. Remember the time she poisoned Marlie, turned Braam against her and went on to marry him? Cherel later killed Braam and made a dramatic entrance at his funeral. There was no end to this woman’s devious deeds.

  • Lee Haines’ death

There is absolutely no doubt that Barker Haines would walk to the ends of the world barefooted for his children. One of the tragedies that hit him hard in Isidingo was the death of his only daughter, Leone ‘Lee’ Haines. Lee’s death on the show was a re-enactment of her real-life car accident. Scenes surrounding Lee’s death hit many fans.

  • Leshole beats Mr Magongwa to a pulp

Most of us have not witnessed a learner beating up a teacher in from of their classmates before. In this Skeem Saam episode, Leshole beat up his mathematics teacher, Mr Magongwa, for calling him an idiot. Leshole lost his cool and fired punches left, right and centre. This is one scene that will stay in our memories for years to come.
