Four suspects are sought for questioning by Norwood police after a home was targetted in Highlands North Extension on 2 May.
The suspects reportedly stole valuables amounting to about R30 000 after they entered and threatened a domestic worker with a firearm on 10th Avenue.
The spokesperson for Norwood Police Station, Captain Elliot Tshivhase, said they took two 55-inch plasma TVs as well as some clothes.
He explained that the domestic worker was in the house when she heard a noise outside. “She then went to investigate and saw four suspects who were already in the yard,” said Tshivhase. One of them apparently pointed a firearm at her, threatening to shoot her. She ran into her cottage and the four suspects entered the main house and took valuables amounting to about R30 000.”
The suspects had parked their getaway vehicle outside the gate and they drove off without the domestic worker noticing the registration number.
Police have launched a manhunt and Tshivhase said no arrests have been made, adding that the domestic worker was unharmed.
