25 August:  Sneaker Exchange Pop-Up Experience

Hosted by SXC, the Sneaker Exchange Pop-Up Experience at the Newtown Junction has live entertainment in store with a line-up that includes the likes of Reggie Reg, Insane and Lil Emi, Akeem1st, Black and White, Scroof Ace as well as Nitah Christyl. The event will also play host to local fashion labels with live sneaker customisations and sneaker-cleaning station.

25 August: Sounding Cities

An interdisciplinary project between composers, artists and performers that links Johannesburg and Birmingham in the UK, Sounding Cities is built around a series of commissioned films and works for saxophone and clarinet, the project speaks to the common spaces and creates synergies between these two vibrant cities. The project features a series of concerts that feature new music and film inspired by these two unique cities showing at the Bioscope in Maboneng.

Join SAB World of Beer at their Food & Beer pairing for a five-course meal carefully crafted to pair with a variety of SAB brands. Each beer-pairing experience focuses on finding the harmony between beer, a grain-based beverage, and food through pairing with simple or both rich and complex flavours.

26 August: Select Sundays in The Living Room

An event that brings aural quality and progression to The Living Room, by inviting South Africa’s finest, and most talented artists to a day on the decks with resident DJs Sirka and Treepian. The carefully curated musical journey will ensure a world-class day of house music to experience and enjoy inside the Livingroom’s rooftop oasis.

26 August: The Underground Mambo Party

Hosted at The Bannister Hotel in Braamfontein, the monthly dance nights will make you put on your dancing shoes for a dose of mambo, salsa, bachata and kizomba. A memorable night of the hottest Afro-Latin dancing.
