Mobi Dixon tightens musical prowess with latest album
JOBURG – The DJ and producer reflects on a decade-long music journey.
In his latest album offering, Mobi Dixon celebrates a 10-year-old stronghold in the music industry. His album, 10 Steps Forward, reflects on his journey in music while also documenting the changes the South African dance music scene has gone through over the past decade.
Speaking to IOL, the DJ said the album encompasses different sub-genres and influences that have influenced him as a DJ and the different sounds that have resonated with the country as a whole.
The 10-track album features the likes of Shekinah, Dladla Mshunqisi, DJ Tira, J Something, Donald, Nolwazi and Kwesta and has already spawned the hit single Visa which features DJ Tira, Nichume, and Kwesta.
