Having recently celebrated her birthday on 23 January with a major and lucrative deal with Universal Music, the sensational Simphiwe Dana will once again see her fans flock to the Simphiwe Dana Annual Congregation live at The Lyric Theatre on 2 March 2019.
Presented by Bassline Live and Radio 2000, the show promises to be explosive as this once-a-year-music communion with the legendary songstress will be quite special as she celebrates 15 years since her debut in the music industry – fostering this year’s edition as an intimate congregation with the firebrand songbird.
This performance is her first since her successful recovery from vocal surgery and is set to be a very moving and memorable one. Already lauded as one of the most important singers, cultural activists and fashion icons of our time, Dana performed to a packed show, when she last performed on the Bassline Live series at the Lyric in November 2017.
