Lauryn Hill and Nas headed to Joburg
JOBURG – Lauryn Hill adds Joburg date to world tour.
Grammy Award-winning songstress Lauryn Hill has added a Joburg date to her world tour, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th Anniversary Tour.
The world tour celebrates 20 years of her classic debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill which has spawned timeless singles such as Doo Wop (That Thing), Everything is Everything and Ex-Factor.
With her five solo Grammy wins for 1998, Hill became the first woman to win five or more awards in a single night and her debut album is also credited as the first hip-hop album to earn Album of the Year.
Hill is slated to perform in Joburg at the Ticketpro Dome on 2 February and has added legendary rapper Nas as a special guest.
Lauryn uses her platform to raise money and awareness for frontline charity initiatives through touring. A portion of the ticket sales goes towards the MLH Fund, which directly contributes support for education, health, agriculture, technology, and community-based businesses and development initiatives throughout the diaspora.
