ICYMI: Big BAT #FreeLammie protest outside Joburg Zoo
FOREST TOWN – Ban Animal Trading protest saw motorists hoot for the #FreeLammie campaign.
Ban Animal Trading (Bat) protested for the release of Lammie the elephant outside the Johannesburg Zoo on Jan Smuts Avenue on 9 February #FreeLammie.
This follows in the wake of worldwide campaigns to have Lammie released to an elephant sanctuary after the death of her companion, Kinkel, in September last year.

Journalist Naidine Sibanda was at the peaceful protest as dozens of animal rights activists demonstrate to spread awareness that ‘animals are not entertainment’. Pamphlets were handed out to motorists and road-users detailing how to sign the #FreeLammie petition.
