IN PICTURES: Women enjoy breakfast in celebration of luxury car’s win

HOUGHTON – Special female guests have a look at the Volvo cars which recently won awards.


Women in the entertainment industry and media were recently invited to a special Volvo Power of 40 Women’s Breakfast at Munro Boutique Hotel, Houghton Estate.

This comes after the car brand scooped the biggest award in the Executive SUV category at the cars.co.za Consumer Awards held on 24 January at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, as the women were treated with style and class.

Thembalethu and Langalethu Zulu enjoy themselves at the women’s breakfast at Munro Boutique Hotel, Houghton Estate.

“The recognition that Volvo Cars SA receives each year is proof that as a leading luxury brand, we are consistently taking a step in the right direction with our cars. We are in an exciting space as a car manufacturer,” Volvo Cars SA managing director, Greg Maruszewski said.

What was noted as a momentous year last year, the car brand was seen celebrating major wins both locally and internationally.

In the finals for the awards were the Volvo XC40 which was named the Women’s Car of The Year for 2018 as well as a finalist in the 2019 AutoTrader South African Car of The Year.

“The key for us globally is to ensure that we produce the best of the best for our consumers. Such wins are a pat on our back, encouraging us to remain in our lane and improve every single year,” Maruszewski said.
