Celebrate Valentine’s Day with new age kwaito duo

JOBURG – Darkie Fiction takes centre stage on Beyond the Sound this Valentine’s Day.

The 13 episode series, Red Bull Music Presents: Beyond the Sound,  which takes a deeper look at South African musicians and their colourful journey to fame, returns to Channel O this Valentine’s Day at 9pm.

A co-production between Red Bull Music and Channel O, Red Bull Music Presents: Beyond the Sound, features in-depth interviews and engaging performances with various artists from different musical backgrounds and genres.

The sixth episode features new age kwaito duo Darkie Fiction who met in Cape Town. The pair speak on what it means to be a young musician in South Africa as well as their favourite live performances. They spend time explaining their performance style, which they have named nostalgics today.

The rest of the season will feature DJ Shimza, gqom duo Distruction Boyz, rapper Patrickxxlee and Jackie Queens.
