Sandringham police celebrate International Women’s Day celebration
SANDRINGHAM - Sandringham police give back to a very needy family in the area.
In commemoration of International Women’s Day (8 March), female staff members of Sandringham Police Station together with sector managers, and staff of Social Crime Prevention and Communication Control Ordination celebrated in a special way.
According to the head of communications for the station Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo, the members celebrated the day with a disadvantaged family who relies on donations and helps from neighbours.
He said the family consisted of six siblings and no one in the family was employed. “Their single mother passed away back in 2014.”
Mamabolo added that the Sandringham police women’s club donated clothing and food to the family and also held a prayer session with them.
“Lieutenant Colonel Emily Tsheole was the overall ‘commander’ of this project and Station Commander Colonel Lindani Ndlovu thanked all members who made the project possible.”
