Ozone therapy might just be the solution to health issues
WESTCLIFF – Oxylisious Ozone Therapy partners with St John to tackle health issues in rural areas.
Oxylisious hosted a picnic at the Glenshiel Monument, Westcliff on 14 March to highlight their ‘prevention is better than cure’ initiative with the Order of St John.
Through their work in first aid, primary health care, eye care and youth development, Order of St John touches the lives of countless South Africans. Oxylisious decided to partner with the Order of St John because they have a common objective of tackling the country’s health issues, according to Oxygen therapist and wellness coach, Angie Clausen.

“We would like to highlight the work of this international non-profit organisation and the community health work that it performs in disadvantaged communities around South Africa,” she said.
The prevention is better than cure campaign aims to assist patients with health issues in rural areas by implementing the ozone therapy. The picnic attendees were given an opportunity to try out the ozone therapy with both the machine and sauna tent.

“The use of a sauna should be an important part of any detoxification programme,” said Clausen.

“It increases the eliminative, detoxifying and cleansing capacity of the skin by stimulation of the sweat glands. This promotes healthy skin tone and texture due to increased blood circulation.”
Nomsa Mkhonza, a health worker at the Order of St John tried the oxygen machine and found a new discovery about her health. “The machine actually showed that I am low on calcium, something that I didn’t even know but I am a health worker. My session took only 15 minutes and after all the sweating, I am feeling much lighter,” Mkhonza said excitedly.

Another attendee and client of Oxylisious, Kate Argo said she enjoyed the sessions she has had so far, “I am a very health-conscious person, so these sessions are very helpful because I now keep track of my weight and I have beautiful skin.”

Oxylisios together with the Order St John said that they are in a process of introducing the ozone therapy to rural areas but for now, people in need of ozone sauna therapy treatment can book a session online at www.oxylisious.co.za.
