Local community care centre celebrates June birthdays
Local community care centre celebrates residents who were born in June.
There was music, drama, and dance at Rand Aid Association’s Thembalami Care Centre celebrated the birthdays of residents who were born in June.
The centre based in Lombardy East, which incorporates the Max Ordman Deaf Association, holds a combined birthday party each month in conjunction with Inyoni Angels, a group of caring individuals who live at Rand Aid’s Inyoni Creek retirement village.
“The June bash was held on the 19th of the month and featured entertainment by the residents of yet another Rand Aid property, Wedge Gardens Treatment Centre,” said the organisers.
“A handful of people undergoing rehabilitation at Wedge performed a play, read out meaningful and original poetry and sang songs that depicted their addiction journey.”
After that it was time for cake and snacks and the handing out of birthday presents to all those who were born in June.
