Businesses, locals, pets and youth attended the sunny event hosted by the Parkhurst Residents and Business Owners Association (Praboa). Association chairperson Mike Rosholt said he looked forward to the gathering, noting that this was the second edition of the revived fair.

He said there was an eight-year gap during which no one hosted the event, adding that organisers brought it back last year, but the weather was poor, whereas this year brought good weather and more vendors, showing growth.

Rosholt said approximately 4 000 people were expected to attend and the proceeds raised would go towards charities in Parkhurst. “We also have an operating budget,” he said, “which will go towards the parks we take care of, which includes this park and three others. We keep the park in the community.”

Rawson Properties Blairgowrie co-owner Angelo Tyler said he was thrilled to be at the event. “We have collaborated to sponsor this event and we’ve done that because we wanted a way to give back and this was one. My partner and I have lived in Parkhurst for over a decade and wanted to be part of an event that was fun while bringing the community together.”
