Seven suspects held by Johannesburg police in a week

JOHANNESBURG – All the suspects have since appeared in court.

 


The Johannesburg Flying Squad arrested seven suspects during police routine patrol duties for various crimes between 28 June and 1 July.

The arrests were made at various places in Johannesburg, said the spokesperson for the unit, senior personnel officer Raymond Sambo.

During the arrests, three cars reported stolen were also recovered – a white Toyota Corolla, Gold Toyota Fortuner and Grey VW Polo

“Two of the suspects will face assault with grievous bodily harm charges, two were held for drunken driving while the other three are in for possession of drugs,” Sambo said.

He encourages members of the public to continue working with the police by reporting any suspicious activities.

All seven suspects, aged between 25 and 38, have since appeared in different magistrates’ courts.
