Thandy Matlaila named Brand South Africa ambassador
JOBURG – Thandy Matlaila to form a part of the Play Your Part campaign which encourages all South Africans to contribute to positive change in the country.
Thandy Matlaila, a household name in the South African entertainment industry has played and continues to play her part in being a proudly South African citizen striving for change and driving a positive impact through her initiatives.
Brand South Africa announced the actress as their new ambassador on Tuesday, 21 January. Matlaila will form a part of the Play Your Part campaign which encourages all South Africans to contribute to positive change in the country. Her duties include being an active citizen in motivating the youth and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
“I’m excited to be a part of this; youth motivation and a healthy lifestyle have always been a top priority for me. That’s why I started the #27Dresss initiative 5 years ago where I donate matric farewell dresses to underprivileged matriculants. Partnering up with BrandSA means that through the initiatives that I do, I can reach a larger audience. I’m also looking forward to doing wellness activations with them, 2020 is definitely going to be that year where we’ll be ‘inspiring new ways’ of making South Africa better, for ourselves and those around us. They also have some great programs that I’ve always wanted to be a part of,” Matlaila said.
Brand South Africa prides itself in serving and representing the country on a global scale, they have selected an ambassador to help drive their message further and reach larger audiences in all parts of the country.
Matlaila is well known for her on-screen talents and has grown to be loved by South Africans in every character she’s portrayed. Off-screen, she spends her time indulging in health and fitness programs and gotten admiration for the discipline that she instils in her life; professionally, health-wise and socially.
