The Rhythm Session and NuTown Soul to launch brand new project this week
JOBURG – The Rhythm Sessions, in collaboration with NuTown Soul to launch life and love inspired EP on 28 February at Mix Cocktail Bar.
During this month of love, it is all about the music as the renowned duo, The Rhythm Sessions, in collaboration with NuTown Soul, bring you a brand new offering from their new extended play record (EP), which launches on 28 February.
Aptly titled It’s All About The Music, the new EP is produced by The Rhythm Sessions & Nutown Soul alongside talented pianist MoreSoul, Ntokozo Mbhele, and Supraworx. The project is inspired by life itself, the love all around us and the sounds of the world. It is soulful house music, with fresh vocals and a touch of deep house.
When the two young men behind The Rhythm Sessions, Edgar Mfaba (Edsoul) and Hlalefang Nomganga (Fang DaRhythm), decided to follow their passion for music, sound engineering and entertaining back in 2008, little did they know that they would soon gain popularity.
To date, Traxsource has listed their first track titled Cure in the Top 100 list for 2016. This tune has caught the attention of the Grammy Award-winning deejay Louie Vega, who has remixed and released it on Vega Records.
Widely renowned as the only deejays in the country to play using Isolators, and having featured seasoned artists on their songs; including Portia Monique, Kholi, Oscar, Wanda Baloyi, and Brutha Basil (USA Spoken word Artist), the duo are constant features on Kaya FM’s line-up and can be heard on the House of Love on Saturdays from 9 pm – 10 pm.
The project launches officially on 28 February at an exclusive event at Mix Cocktail Bar on Keyes Art Mile. On the decks, DJ China (Guest DJ), Lali Spirit, Dazziefunk and The Rhythm Sessions performing live with Nutown Soul, Ntokozo Mbhele & MoreSoul.
