The Norwood police confiscated alcohol and cigarettes being sold illegally in their precinct.
According to Norwood Police Station spokesperson Sergeant Eric Masotsha, the confiscation was accompanied by an arrest of the seller. He said that police officers were conducting a patrol on 5 August when they came across the shop selling the substances.
“Constable Tsetse Silas Makeketa conducted the arrest. The suspect faces a possible fine or imprisonment for breaking the lockdown regulations which forbid the selling of alcohol or cigarettes,” said Masotsha.
