Killarney Mall is safe after bomb scare

The mall was immediately evacuated and all safety protocols were followed.

Killarney Mall management confirmed a bomb scare on 21 November.

Management stated that the Nedbank branch inside the mall received a bomb threat.

The mall was immediately evacuated and all safety protocols were followed. The bomb squad and officials were are on site to conclude a full sweep of the mall before it reopened. The mall followed procedure outlaid by officials to ensure safety of all shoppers and tenants.

Management also confirmed that the bomb squad completed a full investigation and sweep of the mall; therefore Killarney Mall is safe and trade may resume.

“Killarney Mall would like to thank all of our shoppers for their patience in the matter,” said management.
