Parktown Girls High School congratulates Aamena Patel, who was in Grade 11 last year, who won first place in her category in the National Royal Society Essay Competition and R5 000 for her essay, Social Media Platforms: Are they shaping the future of science and society?
Aamena was also one of two overall winners nationally for her essay, winning the coveted trophy for the top essay.
In addition, she received a gold certificate in the Afrikaans Olympiad, attaining 85 per cent.
