Saxonwold Pre- and Primary School celebrate the Wold Big Walk’s huge success.
The Wold Big Walk is the schools’ biggest event of the year which takes place annually. The walk took place virtually on September 11 where 245 participants completed the walk all over Johannesburg. It had three challenges which ranged from two, five and 10km that participants could choose to take part in.
Participants had the liberty of choosing where they would like to complete the challenges and the event was broadcast live on Saxonwold Primary School’s Facebook and YouTube platforms.

Families stood a chance to win prizes for competing in the walk. There were prizes won by the families who finished in first, second and third place. The spirit award was given to the family who took part in their class or house colours.
“Without our parents, staff and partners, the event would not have been possible – we united in true Saxonwold spirit and made this the biggest virtual walk ever!” said head of innovation, ICT and digital marketing , Frankie Cilliers.

Cilliers also extended the school’s gratitude to the sponsors who donated over R13 000 worth of prizes. The sponsors included Splice Granite and Kitchen, Judy Klipin, Panarrotis The Zone, Exabyte Training Solutions, author Themba Dlamini, Bossy Beauts, UCMA Houghton, Hollard, EduElevate, Braveboot Marketing and Dermatologica.
